Throw-Together Comfort Food: Baked Cheese Tortellini

Sometimes the best thing in the world is home-made comfort food.  I decided upon throwing together a baked cheese tortellini.  It was boyfriend's favorite pasta dish (I preferred last week's pasta)

Baked Cheese Tortellini
Serves 2-4

Ingredients:
8-10 ounces cheese tortellini from the cold case
1 cup marinara sauce
Black pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and onion powder to taste (just a dash or two of each)
4 ounces low-fat cream cheese
3 slices of fontina/mozzerella/smoked gouda (I used fontina)
1 handful freshly grated parmesan
1 tsp. fresh thyme
1 handful chopped Italian parsley

Method:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a five inch square pan
Step 2: Boil tortellini in salted water for 2 minutes
Step 3: In the meantime, mix sauce, seasonings, fresh herbs, and cream cheese together
Step 4: Add drained tortellini to sauce mix
Step 5: Pour pasta in pan, and cover with cheeses
Step 6: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted
